Mr. Buttar during his LL. B, interned at various renowned law firms of the Country whereby he learned the basics of legal practice including drafting of plaints, suits, defenses, appeals, petitions, reviews, legal notices, counter notices, replies to notices, legal opinion, legal advice, legal research, which helped shape his critical analysis as well as application of legal knowledge to complex legal issues.

Mr. Buttar, after completing his LL. B and before his LL. M, started working as a full-time associate at S. M. Masud & Associates where he became an asset to the Firm for being a hard-working and articulate legal practitioner and providing exceptional legal research and assistance to his seniors before the High Courts as well as the Supreme Court. During this time, he started appearing and arguing cases regularly before the lower courts, tribunals, as well as quasi-judicial forums.

Mr. Buttar after returning from his LL. M, again joined S. M. Masud & Associates during which time he became an Associate Partner at the Firm and has been practicing full-time before the High Courts, Lower Courts, Tribunals, Authority(s), Quasi-Judicial Forums, etc. Mr. Buttar has also had the opportunity of working in the most high-profile cases of the Country including the matters concerning Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA), Central Business District, Punjab (CBD), Defense Housing Authority, Lahore (DHA), renowned journalist Arshad Sharif murder case, recovery of renowned journalist Imran Riaz Khan case, missing persons cases, the famous 56 Punjab Companies’ cases, cases pertaining to imposition of super-tax, etc. Mr. Buttar still works in liaison with S. M. Masud Associates.

Mr. Buttar after attaining ample legal experience and expertise, joined B&A in 2018 and is practicing as a senior member of the Firm alongside his brother Barrister M. Saad Buttar. Since joining, he has been handling and running the Firm’s Lahore office and practicing full-time before the High Courts of the Country in the areas of Civil law, Banking law, Company law, Property law, Consumer law, Telecommunication law, Intellectual Property law, Land Acquisition law, Family law, Contract law, Arbitration law, and Corporate & Commercial law. Mr. Buttar has numerous reported judgments to his name till date and he is committed to providing exceptional legal services to all clients in his areas of practice and to further strengthen the Firm’s foothold within as well as outside Pakistan.
