Barrister Danyal Sohail (ACIArb) is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan and is currently part of the litigation and corporate team at Buttar & Associates, working as a Senior Associate. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London and, upon completing the Bar Practice Course and an LL.M. in Immigration Law from the University of Law, London, was called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn, London, in 2024. Since the time he has joined Buttar & Associates, Mr. Danyal has handled several complex commercial transactions and is principally charged with all Civil, Commercial, Corporate, Banking, Regulatory, Taxation, Family and Arbitration matters the firm deals with. Mr. Danyal regularly appears in High Courts, lower Courts and Special Courts and Tribunals on the same matters, having proficiency in arguments before different forums and principally drafts Plaints, Replies, Petitions, CPLAs as well as Agreements in accordance with client needs. He has also rendered valuable assistance to his seniors before High Courts as well as Federal Constitutional and Supreme Court proceedings on highly contentious matters on numerous occasions. Mr. Danyal is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is also an accredited civil/commercial mediator, a qualification recognized by many international mediation forums. In consolidation of his varied professional experience, Arbitration, Taxation, and Service matters conveniently form part of his expertise. He regularly appears before different fora in Pakistan including the Civil Courts, Accountability Courts and various tribunals such as the Pakistan Medical Tribunal, National Industrial Relations Commission, Customs Appellate Tribunal, Inland Revenue Tribunal, Service Tribunal and the Intellectual Property Tribunal; alongside rendering assistance to senior partners in the High Courts and Supreme Court.
